I asked our chemistry teacher about salvaging the silver.  He suggests
referring to the Flinn Scientific, Inc. (PO Box 219, Batavia, IL,
60510-0219), catalog, salvage technique #11, as the technique to use.  Voice

me know.  (This catalog is a very good reference on topics such as safety and
salvage.)
