From 1995 Coordinator's manual: FOR CALCULUS TESTS:Powerbooks and portable
computers, pocket organizers (e.g., Wizard), palm-top computers with QWERTY
keyboard (e.g., HP-95), and electronic writing pads or pen input devices (e.g.,
Newton) will not be allowed, but most graphing calculators currently on the
market will be acceptable. Candidates with HP 48 Series graphing calculators
may use cards designed for use with those calculators, but must use electrical
tape to cover the infrared serial ports. NOTE: I called the AP office and
standard scientific calculators MAY NOT BE USED IN THE CALCULUS TEST. THEY MUST
USE A GRAPHING CALCULATOR AND THE SCHOOL MUST PROVIDE ONE IF A STUDENT DOES NOT
HAVE ONE. List: Casio Series - FX-6000, 6200, 6300, 6500, 7000, 7500, 7700,
8000, 8500, 8700, 9700. HP Series - 28, 48 w/ir port covered. Radio Shack - EC
4033, 4034. Sharp - EL-5200, 9200 series, 9300 series. TI - 81, 82, 85.

NOT PERMITED FOR CHEM AND PHYSICS: Radio Shack EC 4023, 4024, Casio FX-50F,
500F, HP 48G-48GX.

For the AP Chem and Physics students may use scientific, programmable, or
graphing calculators except those w/built-in chem or physics formulas or
equations that cannot be cleared. Same rules as to power-books, etc as above.
Again ir ports must be taped.
