Our product include automation systems used in power generation industry and it is not obvious how to establish and implement the inspection and test status. To the comput er system we can not stick the status card. Naturally we test our products in many ways and we have a lot of measurements, but in fact, I feel, this is not enough. >> IMHO you are raising basically two points. One: How to show the Status regarding Computersied automation systems. Without knowing your systems in detail, what I think can be done is that the automation system in use can be programmed in such a way that the top or bottom of the programme itself can generate a line saying what the inspection status at that point of time is - to say whether the required inspection and test has been done at that particular point as required under the qulaity plan. Two: Showing the status on products that are tested: This can of course follow the system of labelling, tags, indicating by placards or storage in suitably marked areas. These will indicate wheter the product is awaiting inspection, or tested and passed or tested and failed. Ram Bangalore, India email: rram@mailcity.com
