(Excuse the cross-posting if you see this more than once.)
To ease what what was becoming a repetitive and tiresome task, I've
written (yet another) Script/VS-to-HTML converter. The design philoso-
phy was in this case ease of use -- no options whatever. (If you don't
like what you get, you can always do a little post-editing, although
in my experience, this is rarely necessary.) The routine is not suitable
for book-length manuscripts with title pages and the like, but it handles
all the most-frequently-used DCF control words and GML tags.
It also is a demonstration of the real power of CMS Pipelines which it
uses exclusively -- no XEDIT at all.
To get it, send a message to listserv@albany.edu (or, for a short while
longer, LISTSERV@ALBNYVM1) saying GET S2H EXEC . Type S2H ? for
instructions.
To see an example of its output, look at
http://albany.edu/~piporg-l/pipguide.html . (This file required no
post-editing whatever.)
I'm still tinkering with it and would appreciate any feedback.
