A little while ago we received PC Simula 109.2.2. The problem is that I don't even get the demo program running. The compile part is OK but it just won't link. First I got the message "Bad command or file name" when trying to LOAD the demo program. According to the README this is because there is no standard linker LINK.EXE on the system. Forgive me my ignorance, but what is the standard linker for DOS and how do I get it? Second I tried the SIMULA provided linker by using the command "set option L: ..." as suggested in the README. Then, the LOAD command leads to messages like **************************************************************** Can't open file: @autolink.par, OsStat=2 @autolink.par *** Simula linker terminated *** **************************************************************** The par file reads: **************************************************************** c:\sim\lib\dosseg+ tstinst.obj tstinst/CP:1 c:\sim\lib\sd7109rt+c:\sim\lib\sd7109ei; **************************************************************** The DOS version I use is 5.0. I would greatly appreciate any help to solve this problem. Peter peter@FenK.WAU.NL
