> > Haven't you met a PD SIMULA for PCs one could start with? Eager to hear > from you ... mojmir >P.S. all i know about SIMULA now is, it is damn diffficult to get even a book. There is a PD SIMULA for Macintoshes. Mail boris.magnusson@dna.lth.se for details. PC SIMULA is a commercially produced system and costs money. There is a PD SIMULA (sort of) to C system called CIMULA, which originates from Oslo. I don't know if anyone has ported it to the PC. I am sure someone on this mailing list will know. Books are not hard to get. I wrote one, which you can order from any bookshop. R.J. Pooley, "An introduction to programming with SIMULA", Blackwell Scientific, ISBN 0-632-01422-9 See also B. Kirkerud, "Object Oriented Programming with SIMULA", pub. Addison Wesley, slightly misleadingly named as it only covers the Pascal level subset of SIMULA. Birtwistle et al, "SIMULA BEGIN", Chartwell-Bratt, the original and the book that spelt out object oriented before most OO programmers were born. ISBN 91-44-06211-7. ASk at a good book shop or lending library, quoting the ISBN. Rob Pooley
