I've been watching this debate for a while now, and every time I read another
message about this subject the first thing that pops in to my head is that,
amateur radio is a hobby, it is fun and technically rewarding.

My opinion is that folks that need to feel power and need to have that all
important feeling of control, want to control who can report weather
conditions during sever weather. This is non-sense. If you need to feel power
and control, get a managers job, or become a cop, but keep it out of our
hobby. Of course, this is just my opinion.

BTW, any report of sever weather by amateur radio in my county (Wayne county
Ohio) is welcome by any licensed amateur, just hold back the blue sky reports,
please (hihi).
