My 2 Cents worth.

I see someone objected the hams as weather spotters,
well, there are allot of the ham radio operators who have done
not only spotting inn their lifetime but other heroic actions.

Lets see I spend 15 yrs as a volunteer fireman helping
people in the city and county area, delivered babies saved lives
and property cried with the injured, lost manu many days and
nights of sleep to be there for the call of duty. I tore my knees
up where i can hardly walk from doing and going beyond the call
of duty.

Was in Viet nam fighting for my country.

Stayed in a shleter during a flood event for over 4 days
and nights with my ham radio in case they needed communications.

Was in A hurricane disaster shelter providing food and
relief to thousands of people and doing damage surveys, Honestly
and never turning my back on anyone

I have been bruned, hurt, and other things saving peoples
lives, and being there when no one else was around on the
emergency scenes yet, helping those who were hurt and injured.

I am able to Account to the All Mighty as to what is in
my heart. I have been a spotter and have setup a shelter and food
relief after a tornado and or emergency event. I have held the
elderly in my arms and cried with them and their loss, and always
was there ,able to hold and pray, and or be a froend to those in
life who have lost many htings either in fires, floods, or
tornadoes, or car accidents.

I take the training I have seriously, even the spooters
and advanced spotters school, there when im called by the NWS or
the EMO to be at my ham radio during the night, day or time of
call.

I was running a resue net when the County of Montgomery
flooded just north of houston, some 4 or so yrs ago, people were
calling the houston office of emo cause all communications was
out in montogery county and I used my ham radio to carry the
resuces and other emergency messages directly to the Emergemcy
management office in Montgomery county, so th USCG and others
could help the people whi needed to be evacuated from their
flooded homes.
