Okay, guys, we have further news on the shirts front.
1: The minimum order for a seven-screen shirt is not twenty-four, it's
forty-eight.
2: The per-shirt cost of a seven-screen shirt is $9.50. We'd also have to
shell out fifteen bucks per screen, so, assuming forty-eight shirts sold,
each shirt would wind up costing roughly $11.70. (which is less than I
thought, really.) Shipping would add another $2.90 each, and XXL and XXXL
sizes would add another buck and two bucks, respectively. (And then there's
tax and the purchase of shipping materials. Dunno how much those'd be.)
So...
If we could get forty-eight people to buy such a shirt, the aforementioned
$17 price would work out fairly well; the people who didn't buy the massive
shirts would wind up subsidizing those who did a bit, but otherwise it'd be
fair.
Unfortunately, there is no way in hell that we could get forty-eight shirts
sold, and the forty-eight shirt minimum extends all the way down to a
three-screen shirt, which, at 24 shirts minimum order, would wind up
costing $13.70 each before shipping, large sizes, tax, and packing
materials.(after tossing everything and a fudge factor into the mix, I come
up with a cost of $18.50 for the lesser shirts, without any sort of buffer
for emergencies and/or cost increases.
I want to deliver the most king-hell shirt that can possibly be arranged.
Right now, the most king-hell shirt that we could do would be the
above-mentioned seven-screen shirt (CMYK on the front + glow-in-the-dark
highlight, black and fill on the back,) but we'd need forty-eight shirts
sold.
SO....I need to know something.
_CAN_ the various readers and whatnot of Superguy pull together and order
two shirts each? Can we reach deep into our pockets and pull thirty-four
dollars each out? Can we?
Probably not, but I need to know for sure.
(In other words: we'd either be spending about thirty dollars for _two_
shirts, or about twenty for _one_. Y'all's choice.)
Rob
