Oops. Since I'm here anyway--but maybe it would be better if most replies were made privately ?... But if others are interested?... I'm a Cataloger and working supervisor for the Technical Services section at a Public Library. I supervise 2.5 classified copy catalogers, 1.5 clerks, .5 acquisitions clerk. My boss supervises me and the computer. I do original cataloging in many formats, authority and database clean-up, meetings, other management stuff, etc. I don't find TECH-L to be a very busy list--or is my mail messed up? We currently have an odd sort of secondary/pass-thru connection to the INet and sometimes I wonder... Several lists I have subscribed to seem to be _very_ quiet (one message every week or two), while others are _VERY_ busy (i.e., AUTOCAT--ca. 20-30/day). --Patricia R.
