Colleagues:
Members of this group ought to be aware of 'GrafEq' -the premier 2d
pre-calculus relation-plotting program. For Mac, Win3.1 & PowerMac
Features:
- accepts relations in virtually any format
- displays relations in standard math format (sub/superscripts etc)
        radicals proper nesting with
- state of the art graphing engine:
        relations: = < >  <= >=  and their negations
        operations: + - * ^  and +-
        subtractive successive refinement to achieve validity
        standard operators: 18trig 18hypertrig log any base floor
                ceiling modulo gcd lcm min max factorial ||
        round trunc signum
- 1 dim friendly (ie plots the ilk of x=|x|)
- singularities: x^2+y^2=x^3+y^3 : includes the dot
- discontinuity savvy: y=(x^2-1)/(x+1) reveals a disc @ -1
- relations defined by constraints:
                eg  y= x^2
                    x>-5
                    y<10 will plot the pabolic section
- conditionals:  eg:
                        -x if x<1
                y= {    x^2 if 1<=x<=pi   }
                        arcsecx if x>pi
-3D mimicry via contour plots: x^2+y^2+z^2 = 10^2
                                z={0,1,3,5,7}  will plot 1 dot & 7 circles
- continuous range definition: y=(1,3)+(-1,2) will plot the region of
        lines with slopes between 1&3 and y-intercepts between -1&2
- regions (from inequalities) can be either layered or blended

-good user stuff: zooming in/out; copy & paste both relations & graphs to
        clipboard; printout to printer resolution; save to file via 3 formats
        control font size; add text/relations/segments to print-outs
        interpretation aids: 1-pt location cursor; 2pt distance/angle
        finder

In conclusion:
You want to solve x^sinx=log cosx - simply enter it and check out the
                            x
x-intercepts
