Is there enough interest in >their patients for the medical community to do it? I think is is the same reason that my surgeon told me for six weeks while I was waiting that "I was on the top of the list" even though he knew it was bullshit; why he tells me now that the rejection I have is nothing to worry about; why my cardiologist can find the time to talk to me before my biopsy and after it if things are good, but doesn't have a whole lot to say if it turns out to be questionable. Those in the medical profession don't like bringing bad news to people. Who can blame them? It really sucks: "I'm sorry, your son/daughter/etc is dead. Can I have their organs?" And even though it would never be put like that, maybe thats how the individuals involved feel it SOUNDS. -- Howard Hartsfield howardh@freenet.fsu.edu CMS/DATA, Inc Voice:904-224-2200
