Dear all

I am currently trying to convert a system for a legal company from Word
Perfect to Word.  In Word Perfect the users were use to being able to open a
template, fill in necessary  information and insert other templates while
the "merge" was still running.

How the templates in Word are set up is using form fields which allow the
user to type in the answers to "merge" then carry on to the next one.  The
problem is that for this to work it must be protected during assembly.  The
user no longer has the ability to insert a template until the assembly is
complete.   This apart, it does not appear to be possible to run a template
into a newly created document.  Any suggestions?
