WordPerfect doesn't attach an extension to the filename typed while
saving a document. This makes it impossible to retreive it from windows
using the 'Assosiate' feature. To use the 'associate' feature the
filename needs to have some extension. Since this problem of retreiving
files, without any extension, into WordPerfect from windows cannot be solved
from Windows I am wondering if a default (lets say 'wp') extension can
be added everytime a document is saved in WordPerfect.

This would make my life easier since we have WP on the Network and I
have to configure only one copy of WP unlike windows which is on each
PC.

This is a serious problem for me and any help in solving this will be
sincerely appreciated.

Thanks,

Eman

ps: For those who are interested in the background:
In Microsoft Mail a user can send an 'Attachment', a document along
with his/her mail message. The other user can just double clikc on
the icon he/she receives in the mail message, indicating the
presence of an attachment, and open it to read it. The only
problem is, like I said, the document sometimes comes without any
extension. MS-Mail looks at the Windows 'Associate' settings to
retreive the document. Since there is no association it fails while
trying to open the document. However if the user receives the
document with a standard extension, like 'wp', then we can associate it
with WP and readily open the document.
