Importing data into my spreadsheet

I use a Macintosh computer and I am looking for a way to use the
downloaded files from services that I find on the Internet in such a
manner so that the data may be entered into a spreadsheet program. In
particular I want to use the baseball stats that I find in Grandstand
Sports (http://www.gstand.com/) and enter the data into a Claris Works
Spreadsheet. When I try to enter the information now, all the data goes
into the first cell as text (or something else) and is, of course,
unusable. Is there a program that I need to buy or is there some other
way to download a program.
