Using Windows 95 and a local PPP server (not Eudora;not Demon), I can SEND Mail and Email fine, but I can no longer RECEIVE mail of any kind. I have checked all Mail settings multiple times, and they are identical to my second computer on which all in/out mail settings are working fine. The malfunctioning PC is an AST Advantage Pentium 100Mg on which Exchange had been operating well until recently. Is it possible an old erroneous "Profiles" in REGISTRY can be fouling the Inbox? If so, how to clean it out and start fresh... More desperately, as I have two accounts with my PPP server, is it conceivable that somehow the telephone number for IN mail only is not configured correctly with the server? [This doesn't seem to jive with my ability to SEND mail and to log on to the Net without problems]... I have put in Windows Messaging (which, bye the bye, I'm not sure is superior to Exchange for home/personal use) as well as the latest MS Mail updates, both to no avail. Any suggestions as to where the problem MOST LIKELY resides would be appreciated (assuming that all Control Panel settings are correct, as I believe them to be).
