We are a consortium composed for an EEC (European Union) funded
research project (LRE), called GLOSSASOFT. The partners are
Open University from U.K., NCSR Demokritos from Greece,
HP Hellas from Greece, Claris from Ireland, Bull from France and
VTT from Finland. The aim of the project was to create guidelines
for software Internationalisation and Localisation. The project is
almost finished (end of February 1995), and we decided to publish
a book containing our results, as well as our personal experience
from our case studies, internationalising and localising various products.
The book will have as target audience managers and developers from
small-to-medium software developing firms.

We are looking for any experiences of either succesful of unsuccesful
attempts to internationalise or localise software products of any type.
We would like to include to our book more real situations and examples.
Anonymity will be respected of course. If you have any experience
(good or bad) with localisation, internationalisation, localised products,
or anything that has to do with using products in markets with "difficult"
languages, or customs please send them to us, either posting at the
news service or directly by e-mail at the address given below.

Have Fun,

Stavros Kokkotos
