Dear all,

I work for a systems group at Rank Xerox in the UK developing solutions for the
Customer Business Services translation team to convert documentation and UI
dialogue into Euopean, Scandinavian and Middle Eastern languages.

The translation process is machine assisted and requires editing by
translators.

Ok, now to the point.

I am reseaching off the shelf IBM PC based multilingual editors/ wordprocessors
that are capable of at least every horizontally written language (both
left-to-right and right-to-left), plus anything else on top as a bonus.

The editor can be either DOS or WIndows based, but must be capable of being
integrated with our current translation databases and system and the
manufacturer must be willing to allow us adding our own modules to the source
code so that we can perform our specific tasks (such as text bounding box
display etc).

So far, I have come up with extremely few examples. I am very interested in the
UniVerse wordprocessor by Gamma Productions but I know very little about it or
them. Do they have a UK distributor? Do they have an Internet address? Fax
number?

If anybody can help me get in touch with them, or have experience with any
other product that fits the bill, I would appreicate greatly any help.
