Palo Alto, California. July 1994. Kappa Type Inc. announces
the release of MetaKey(tm) for Windows: the first keyboard
software product which gives easy access to the full ANSI
character set. MetaKey makes it completely unnecessary to resort
to numeric Alt-key sequences for special characters such as copyright
mark, registered trademark, fractions, proper quotation marks,
yen sign, pilcrow & section signs, raised numerals, etc.
Equally easy to type are all the additional characters needed by
West European languages: a ` b d c e f g p i h j k m l n o q s r
t u v x ~ z y { | }  _ ...

MetaKey includes extended keyboard layouts for all national
keyboards included under Windows 3.1 ANSI version: Latin
America, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Spain, France,
Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland
(German & French), Sweden/Finland, United Kingdom, and USA (3
versions).  Simple to install, each national keyboard layout
allows the typing of all special ANSI symbols, as well as all
West European languages covered by the ANSI set. A comprehensive
40-page Users Guide includes clear keyboard illustrations for
all layouts. MetaKey is compatible with all standard Windows
word processors such as Write, MS Word, Word Perfect, and AmiPro.

Started in early 1993, Kappa Type Inc. specializes in
typographic software. In addition to MetaKey, Kappa Type
currently offers a line of high-quality Postscript Type1 fonts
for East European languages, and will soon start offering fonts
for other languages also.

MetaKey is available on individual and multiple-use licenses,
and is also available on an OEM-basis to interested companies.
