I came across this program that reads web pages and other text based
documents aloud. I thought that this program might be interest to someone
else. The following is a letter that the author sent out discribing what
the program can do and where to find it:

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the Hawaii Education
Literacy Project (H.E.L.P.) and our efforts to promote literacy.

ReadToMe, our first program, reads aloud any form of electronic text,
including Web pages.

ReadToMe may be used by parents and educators to help teach children to
read, or to at least introduce them to the classics in a fun way. In
fact, we've added one-click access to 482 of the great works at Project
Gutenberg.

Let me stress this: HELP is a non-profit organization and ReadToMe is
free to anyone who wishes to use it. Since it was designed as a Web tool,
we're publishing ReadToMe like a Web page.

To this end, HELP asks your help. A beta test version of the program may
be obtained from http://www.pixi.com/~reader1. I encourage you to
download a copy and take it for a spin.

I hope that others download this great program and use it as I have been.
