Karl, thanks for your mail re this forum. I recently posted the following to a windows forum but got no replies.... Recently when using scan disc I got the following message 'Scandisc has restarted 10 times because windows or another program has been writing to this drive. Quitting some programs may enable scandisc to finish.' Later I tried to defrag the hard drive but that also failed to complete. I had no programs running asI tried these maintenance tasks, unless something is going on behind my back." I'm not sure whether this is the place for this problem but if you can help I would really appreciate it. Thanks Tom Tom -- www.overbeyond.com www.friendsofoldpalace.org
