SPARCcenter 2000E

The SPARCcenter 2000E is Sun's next step up from the SPARCserver 1000E. It
contains 2 to 20 85-MHz SuperSPARC processors. On chip cache is 36Kb per
CPU, with 2Mb external caches per CPU.

Depending on configuration, the 2000E has from 64Mb to 5Gb memory, and a
maximum disk capacity of 162GB in the system cabinet. External hard drives
and SPARCstorage Arrays push maximum disk capacity to 4.86TB.

Backup solutions on the SPARCcenter 2000E can be configured with a 14GB 8mm
tape, a 1/2" front-load tape, or a 2.5GB quarter-inch tape. The 2000E can
also be configured with a 16-32Gb 4mm Autoloader or a140Gb 8mm Tape Library.

The SPARCcenter 2000E has been enhanced to support dual power supplies --
preventing system crashes due to single power supply failure. If either
power supply fails, the other will take over with no interruption to machine
operation. The system will alert the user to the power supply failure by
sending a warning message to the server console and one of two LEDs will be
lit on a PC board inside the chassis. These LEDs are inspected by the user
to determine which supply failed.
