I went shopping for a PC on the weekend for friends.

Went to Precision computers - the guy wanted to argue with me over
technical specs.  I wasn't impressed and wouldn't be sure of after
sales support with that kind of attitude.

Ended up getting it from Concorde Computers - they gave a pretty good
deal and were quite good to deal with.  Very painless.

I've bought another system from Surpass computers about 2 years ago.
They were okay (dunno if they're still in business!).

Wollongabba Computer Group have always been alright to deal with,
although the 17" monitor I bought from them was DOA :-(  I've bought
3D video cards and blank CDs from them without any problems.

I've bought gear from Sunlit which has always been faulty.  Maybe I
was just unlucky.

Lastly, have you thought of Gateway or Dell?  "Name Brand" PCs that
aren't really all that too expensive.  www.dell.com.au ...
