Title: The OPEN Process - Advanced Process Modelling

Date: Tuesday, 21st September 1999
Time: 12pm
Place: Lecture Theatre S303, Faculty of Information Technology,
         Queensland University of Technology

Abstract:
---------
The increased complexity associated with large-scale systems requires an
increase in the sophistication of the methodology used to manage their
development. OPEN (Object-oriented Process, Environment and Notation) is a
third generation methodology that focuses not only on model building but
also on project management, quality, reuse, and full and customizable
lifecycle support. The customizable nature of OPEN will be the focus of
this seminar. The Activities and Tasks that make up an OPEN lifecycle
(software engineering process) will be described, emphasizing the pre- and
post-conditions that are used to manage the customized lifecycle.

For more information about the OPEN Process look at the OPEN web site.
