Abstract:
---------
Previously known as SQL3, SQL-99 finally became an international standard
in December of last year. Once again, the language has increased in size
substantially, with many OO features finally becoming part of the standard.

This talk will give an overview of the enhancements from SQL-92 to SQL-99,
including:
(a) new builtin datatypes, user-defined datatypes, subtables and supertables;
(b) new functions, operators and quantifiers;
(c) triggered actions;
(d) user-defined roles;
(e) savepoints;
(f) CLI (Call Level Interface) -- like ODBC.
