Hello Tony,

you mean that you've written a big "where" and you don't want to extend it
more that this?
Normally i solve these class of problems building a temporary table where i
put the keys of the dataset i've found since now. After this step i proceed
joining this tmp table with the remaining query. This may be seen as an
"hugly" way to work, but if the query optimizer is going crazy to solve my
query i like to help it in some way... and breaking into smaller pieces is a
good way.
