Hello all, this is my first time using ADO, and really would appreciate any
help.

I have created an application in Visual Basic which works fine, however I
don't know where to start when translating into C++.  I am using Borland
Builder v3 any advice - or sites which could help me would gratefully be
accepted.

Here is the VB Code:

Public link As New ADODB.Recordset

Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()

    Set link = CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
    Text = "SELECT value,status FROM picomp where tag='Delivery_date' and
time=date('*')"
    link.Open Text, "dsn=pi_link"
    date= link("status")
    link.Close
    Label1.Caption = date
End Sub

I roughly know what each of the above statements do- but don't know how to
translate.
