Thanks for this
I have tried but get error messages saying 
Misuse of typedef fields
and 
undefind symbol iColumnPos.
I allso still can not see how this will display the recordset into a memo.
Is there a book or website that gives good tuition and examples about useing ADO without any of the TDBgrid just useing simple TMemo components.
