Hi Joachim,

I was playing with this last week, without going to deep.

pRecSet = CreateComObject(CLSID_Recordset);

pRecSet->Open(L"Select * from vendors order by vendorno",ConnStr,
            adOpenStatic, adLockReadOnly,adCmdText);

pRecSet->MoveFirst();

pRecSet->Close();


pRecSet->Release();

Note that I don't know if I have ADO2.6 but for the code above I didn't have
to import any tlb.
