> does anyone have tried to connect to a excel file (*.xls) thru ADO or BDE ? I have. In either case, set up an ODBC excel alias. Then connect to it using the ADO connection component. You can override the file name by setting the Initial Catalog of parameter of the DSN string. You can't override the file name using the BDE. Harold Howe [TeamB] http://www.bcbdev.com
