Giuliano, While this is a powerful example of how to affect the database, I was looking for something a little different. When you first see you DBLooupComboBox displayed on a form nothing is showing in the dropdown. That is what I am trying to accomplish. I want to reset it after a query so that it looks empty even though everything is still on the list when you click on it. After a user selects something, I have been unable to get the dropdown to go back to the intial state. Thank you for the great code example. I am going to keep that for future reference. William
