That's the downside to using a desktop database like Paradox & Access,
sometimes you max out the size of the table then you're out of luck. There
are physical limitations to the size of a Paradox table that takes in
consideration the number of bytes in each record and of course, the number
of records in the table. I don't recall using Paradox tables that exceeded
somewhere around 150 Mgs..  You can probably consult the Borland
documentation for the precise specifications. These desktop databases are
not as scalable as say SQL Server or Oracle... There are some work arounds,
for example I recall a previous article in the C++Builder Developer's
Journal that discussed how you can expand the size of each block in the
table and thus increase its capacity, secondly you can always break up the
table or even reduce the number of fields in a record....  The ultimate
solution of course is to port your application to a more scalable database
architecture....
