Hi, David! You should be able to use an Access database without the ADO components. The BDE supports it with a native driver or through ODBC. Have a look at http://www.temporaldoorway.com/programming/cbuilder/basics/simpledbprogram.htm for an example of a standard BDE database program. All you need to do is use an alias that points to your Access database, and the same program should work fine with it. ------ Mark Cashman (TeamB - C++ Builder), creator of The Temporal Doorway at http://www.temporaldoorway.com - Original digital art, writing, music and more - C++ Builder / JBuilder Tips and The C++ Builder Programmer's Webring (Join us!) http://www.temporaldoorway.com/programming/index.htm ------
