I am trying to determine which DB should be used for a desktop application I
am developing.
The main criteria I was going by are:
1. No fees for deployment
2. No BDE
3. Fairly easy to deploy.
I was thinking using Access and ADO, but the more I think about it, the less
I like the way Access works. I work with Oracle everyday and I like the
idea of using a DB that actually works like a DB should.
What are non-BDE DB alternatives? I could use ADO to ODBC so any ODBC aware
DB should fit the bill. Interbase? Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere??
Any suggestions are welcome.
