I believe PromptDataSource is the function you need. Have a look in adodb.pas function PromptDataSource(ParentHandle: THandle; InitialString: WideString): WideString; is the signature; the parent handle is the handle of the window that the dialog should use as the parent - the Application or main form are fine for this.
