Even it can be applied to BCB. See below the original post from Mark Edington.

Ciao!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have uploaded a new version of the ADOExpress informal update to code
central at:

http://ww6.borland.com/codecentral/ccweb.exe/listing?id=14080

The program now supports C++Builder and Delphi. It also has an option to
update the VCLADO50.BPL runtime package.

Other than these changes, there are no additional fixes from the version I
posted in August (8/24). There is a buglist included in the download.

Borland is working on releasing an official update pack for ADO Express, but
barring any un-reported major problems, it will be identical to what is
included in the informal update. Due to resource constraints and tight
schedules for other products I cannot give you an exact date of when the
official update pack will be released. However, the only real difference
between the official update and this informal update is the way the files
are installed.

This update is critical for anyone using ADOExpress in conjunction with the
recently released MDAC 2.6 from Microsoft. Any application which opens and
closes an empty ADO dataset will start throwing an "Either BOF or EOF is
true..." error after MDAC 2.6 is installed. MDAC 2.6 is available for
download from http://www.microsoft.com/data/. and is also installed with
SQL Server 2000. With the update installed, the error does not occur.
However, all existing ADOExpress applications must be recompiled with the
update installed.

Please report any problems with the update on this thread and I will reply
as quickly as I can.

Thanks for your patience.

Happy Coding,

Mark Edington
