I was trying to do what you say but ran into a stone wall and had to move over to a Microsoft compiler. Borland's ADO Express poduct will not help tyou either if you are using an Access .MDB or a .DBF type file format, as ADOExpress only supports SQL_server type databases. You can use the BDE stuff that comes with the compiler for local datafile access, but you do not need ADO at all for that. The problem you experienced importing a Library is well known it seems (though I just found out about it). Importing cannot be done from BCB5 -- you need the previous edition of C++ builder BCB4 as the import library function of BCB5 is broken and there is no sign from the company that it is likely to be fixed. Good Luck. "Cengiz BAY" <cbay@isbank.net.tr> wrote in message news:3a18c246_2@dnews... > Hello > > C++ Builder5 Pro. have not got TAdo....
