is there a component to use postgreSQL database ?
or a better way to use such database ?

There are mostly 2 ways to talk to any
database system

1. Via a native interface
2. Via ODBC

To make things easier, get the ODBC
driver for postgreSQL and include it
as a data source in the ODBC configuration.
