Hi,
I have a problem to check value of field in OnValidate event whether the
field's type is TWidwStringField.
I am using MS access 2000 , C++ Builder 2006 under Windows XP. I get error:
Exception class EAccessViolation with message 'Access violation at address
7714CA1E in module 'oleaut32.dll'. Read of address 00343000
Previously I was using C++ Builder 5, it worked.
The code is as follows:
void __fastcall TForm2::ADOTable1textdate1Validate(TField *Sender)
{
if(Sender->AsString.IsEmpty())
// TODO
}
Any ideas???
Regards,
Oleg

Hi!
Personaly, i never use ADOValidate. If you want to check if any field
is empty try to do if by field name variable. For example:
if(!AnsiString(ADOTable1MyDate->Value).Lenght)
ShowMessage("Field is empty");
I hope this helps...
