ADO Charset problem with deleteRecords (ADOTable)

Hello,
I am using ADO Components since I have to handle both DBF and MDB files
with the same code.
While trying to Empty the tables, everything works fine until there is
a line containing an accent (e.g. "é" or "è") in the database. Then,
in the FieldByName properties, the char turns into a "+" and when it
has to delete this line, it says: "la ligne n'a pas pu être trouvée
pour la mise à jour" ("update failed because the row to update could
not be found").
This simple code is:
T_IDENTITE->Active=true;
T_IDENTITE->First();
while (!T_IDENTITE->Eof)
{
T_IDENTITE->DeleteRecords(arCurrent); // -> Exception here
T_IDENTITE->UpdateBatch(arCurrent);
}
T_IDENTITE->Active=false;
I set the Locale Identifier to 1036 (in ConnectionSttring) that is for
french charset but issue stays the same.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
