Hi Everyone, This is I think, a relatively simple question, although there are a few clear cut answers on the web. I'm establishing a connection through TADOConnection->Open() Method. Now I can perform Transactions, but after IDLING (15 minutes+, Reviewing the Information, going for Coffee, etc...) for awhile; the connection is dropped and an Exception is thrown when another Query is made after the IDLING period. If the property Keep Connection = true, why is the connection dropping? Is this a bug in ADO? I connect to 2 DB, Oracle 8.x and Sybase 7.x Is this possibly a DB issue, where internally the thread is terminated? I'm just looking to solve my problem. I'll try to catch the exception and do an Open Statement again to see if that will be a temporary work around. Thanks Everyone, Heinz

Server can drop connection if it is idle quite longtime. This can not be controlled from program. //------------------------------------------ Regards, Vassiliev V.
