TClientDataSet and Midas

I am using TClientDataSet in an application in order to create an in-memory
dataset from ASCII data. I am not using a data provider or connecting to a
database with it. My mandate is to create a single monolithic .exe without
having to distribute any DLLs. Is there a way to fold the Midas code as a static
library into my final .exe so that Midas.dll does not have to be distributed
with my application ?

For in-memory dataset, use kbmMemTable
(http://www.components4programmers.com/products/kbmmemtable/) or ADO - both
are better than TClientDataSet. ADO needs MDAC to be installed, but on most
computers it is already installed.

To deploy application with TClientDataSet, in BCB help file look "deploying,
database applications", in dialog choose "Deploying dbExpress database
applications".

Noted.

Documentation is wrong. It specifies using .dcus for standalone linking and I do
not think C++ Builder can use .dcus instead of .obj files.

I subsequently found out how to do create a standalone exe using Midas in C++
Builder 6 from the ReadMe file.

Hello,

But the ADO (in Bach mode) and KbmMemTable not supports inheritance of
relationships. TClientDataSet inherit and resolve it. It is very important.
