ADODataset without post changed data in client side.

Hi,

In my app, I retrieve data from SQL Server with TADODataset with +- 2000
rows. I need to modify these records without post them to server. I tryed to
copy data from ADODataset to ClientDataset in a while bucle, but it's not a
nice solution and it's very slow too. There is any manner to read data, and
modify changes only in the client side with ADODataset?

Thanks!
Julian.

Use TADOConnection. Set TADODataSet->Connection to it, open dataset and then
set TADODataSet->Connection to NULL. Do it all with client-side cursor and
you will get disassociated recordset. Or use LockType = ltBatchOptimistic
and never call UpdateBatch().
