This is a beginners question... I want to access an Oracle database (stored on a network server) using C++ Builder 6.0. I would prefer not to have to install the Oracle 9i Client on every machine that will run my application. Are there database access components for C++ Builder 6.0 that can access Oracle 9i directly, without needing the Oracle Client installed? I have been able to access the Oracle database using ADO and BDE components, but they seem need the SID from the TNSNames file, which wouldn't exist if the Oracle Client weren't installed. Thank you, John F. Lund University of Utah Health Sciences Center
