Try this one... I have 2 SQL databases in my C++Builder 6.0 app connected using 2 TSQLClientDataSet Componenets as tables, and then 2 TDBGrids to show the data. The fist database is a CUSTOMERS database and the second is a WIDGETS database (multiple widgets per customer). First I define a Lookupfield in my Widgets database that is linked back to the CUSTOMERS db by clientid and displays the CUSTOMERS->NAME in the widgets grid. Then I try to set WIDGETS->MASTERSOURCE = CUSTOMERSOURCE and then boom - stack overflow. Why is it I can't define a lookupfield in a slave table using DBEXpress? I've installed Patch #4. Thanks for looking. Mitch McInelly
