TIBQuery Open

Hi,

 I've a form with a TIBQuery and TDataSource linked to a TDBGrid.

 In OnShow event of the form there are
    * TIBQuery->SQL->Clear();
    * TIBQuery->SQL->Insert(0,'select....');
    * TIBQuery->Open();
In OnClose event of the form:
    * TIBQuery->Close();

When I open the form the first time, I saw all data correctly. But with
IBConsole also running , I insert news records to verify that form refreshed
data ok, but the form didn't. I must exit application and run again to full
refresh data. Did Open method not refresh data at runtime? I thought that
closing and reopening queries did.

Thanks.

Hi julian,

I had exactly the same problem and the solution was int the parameters of
the transaction used. I don't remenber exactly wich parameter to change in
the transaction but look at the isolation level.

Good luck.

Hi Julian,

Set the (TIB)Transaction property AutoStopAction to saCommit. By default
it's saNone leaving the transaction active, even after closing the Query.
