I have a problem with a client server application that I create using dbexpress with c++builder. The application is runing all the time and is geting slowler in two hours working. I noticed that the memory usage is increasing. At the begin it was in 15.000 KB and in some hours it was in 80.000 KB and the some storeprocedures were working slow. I'm using Firebird 1.5 Superserver. The application connects to the server from 5 PCs. When I close the applications and reopen them the memory goes to 15.000 KB, and the application runs fine. I think It may be somethig related with transactions that remains open with dbexpress. I have some queries using ClientDataSet that I close and reopen when there is a change in the table. But perhaps this way the transaccion remains open consuming a lot of memory, Is it posible? What can I do to identify the problem? Should I start and close transactions in my source code? Thanks for your help.
