dbExpress example code please?

I downloaded Turbo C++ Explorer a month ago, and I've been
battling to come to terms with dbExpress to connect to a SQL
Dialect 3 Interbase 7.5 database.
I found a Borland White Paper by Bill Todd on how to Migrate BDE
to dbExpress, but the example is in Delphi.
The example works OK up until the bit that says
"Create an OnChange Event handler ...etc" with Delphi code.

I have never seen Delphi code, so I'm stuck for what to write in
the handler.
Is there an example anywhere which can show me how to actually
use dbExpress?

Thanks,
Barry Galbraith
