How would I setup a couple of Database Applications to access the same Database over a network. The setup is like this: The Database resides on one machine (Server). The 1st Application (App1) can reside on the Server or one another machine on the network(Client), and remains running and writes information to the Database upon user input. The 2nd Application (App2) can reside on the Server or on a Client, and it monitors the data being entered by App1. App2 uses a number of querries on multiple Tables from the Database and it updates every 3-5 secs. The Applications work fine when both run on the same machine with the Database on that same machine aswell (i.e. not over a network), but how can I get App2 to monitor and display the data being entered by App1 over a network? The only way I have found to get it working is to Disconnect and Reconnect the Database components in App2 every time it updates, but this causes flickering in my display grids (which are displaying the query results). Thankyou in advance for any help. Scott Kent-Collins scott.kent-collins@quest.com.au
