I am building my first multi-tier app using MS SQL server 7.0 for the DB server. I have MSSQL and my server app on one machine and my client on another using DCOM. I have set up some users in MSSQL. Now when I want to view a table in the database the client app prompts me for user/pass. I provied it but then the server app also prompts me (one time only, the second request goes through). I ultimately just want the client user to login at program startup and then always be able to see the database. I envision the server app running continuously and if it needs a logon at startup that's ok too...but since different client users will be coming through the server app should I use a admin logon for the server app. What is a good approach to this issue? Thanks, Rich
